I present to you, my dear friend Precious and her show Precious Africa.

SABC1 introduces an African television reality/documentary series, which covers seven African countries, showing their struggles and triumphs through adversity.By teaching the current generations of their ancestral greatness the hope is to inspire them to go out there and learn about their continent and learn to love their heritage as Africans. The 13-part reality travel series aims to connect and showcase youth around Africa. The show seeks to uncover Africa one day at a time, discovering and exploring sights, sounds, people and places that cannot be found in a travel book or magazine.Precious embarks on a journey which is always surprising, refreshing and exciting. Myths are exploded and stereotypes shattered as the series shows the real vibrancy of a modern Africa.Precious meets an individual from one of the African countries and spends a few days living in their place – experiencing their lives, meeting their friends and families and becoming exposed to the challenges they face in their daily lives. She lives in their homes, works with them in their jobs and immerses herself in their cultures. The show takes the form of a three-act expose into the life of one African through the eyes of Precious. The episodic arc of the show is supported by three acts, the first being the background story of our host. This act will introduce the viewer to the host and contextualise them. Who are they? Where do they live? Why do we want to meet them? They could be a Masai girl from Kenya about to endure female circumcision; a youth enjoying the club culture at the DRC; tasking Tuo Zanfi in Ghana; sharing life experiences with a child soldier from Uganda, or dancing to mbalax (Western pop music) in Senegal. The second act is the exploration of their environment; their relationship with their family; and their friends and work relations.Through all these, Precious experiences the world they live in, allowing her to understand their fears and desires and putting a personality to statistics. The third act reveals the growth of our knowledge of Precious and her host, revealing perspectives gained by both parties. The people that Precious encounters come from a variety of different lives, some urbanized and others rural. They come from all walks of life and the only thing that they share in common is a similar age. Gotta love PRECIOUS AFRICA.http://www.tvsa.co.za/

For my 40th post i wanted to share my love for my sisters style! Love ya! x

My sister Langa has so much swag its ILLEGAL. She's always been a fashionista and she does so effortlessly. I know she's gonna kill me for posting a picture of her when she was 15 years old (she's now 18years old) but her style and beauty is always present regardless her age. You're my inspiration, keep rocking your frocks. And i love how you've always been rocking that beautiful AFRO!

This pic is of her when she was apart of a TV show called Famous! Yeah, she's the one with the fro! :)
And this pic from last year(2008) (L-R) is of Myself, My sister Langa(love her Zulu/modern inspired attire), Friend S'ne and khanya

Almost halfway through my 21st year..

So i'm halfway through this year of being a 21 year old, and i think its important for one to reflect on their life. For one i know i've grown alot this year positively and have really embraced the existence of God in my life..i think if you ever have a chance just to reflect and assess where you are in life and where you want to be, you should really do it .
Reaching your full potential in anything you do is so important, and i think alot of us are guilty of not doing so. We naturally get trapped in the limitations of this world, you know the other human beings who burp and fart just like you and me:)LOL(i've become a victim of this) and wait for things to happen or are too afraid to make them happen for themselves.
I say whats the harm in trying and so what if you fail..you're not dead, so keep on trying..i've noticed thats what makes true achievers, not being afraid to fail and get back up. I'm a law student so i know challenges, aspiring entertainer and child of God who honestly has had to
re-access my view of life.
Because i was such a control freak i always wanted things to happen now for me, which didn't always happen..and through that i learnt that i need to trust in my creator and realize that as long as i do my best, there's nothing i can regret.
So i want to thank the Lord for being with me and all of you in this wonderful concept called life! Enjoy it and GOD BLESS xx
